Film about an alien invasion is nothing new class again independent of the film to big budget movies with all the visual charm. Some of these films with a good quality record, kind of Sign (Shyamalan) and War of the Worlds (Spielberg). While Independence Day (ID4) was recorded as an alien invasion movie most in demand until now. Then how Battleship?

Some scientists find Earth-like planets far beyond our solar system. We send a signal there and was getting a response from the aliens. Good news for them but bad news for us. Small team of aliens coming to earth in order to take over satellite communication channels in Hawaii to contact their counterparts at the end of the galaxy as it turns out that the earth is a planet habitable for them. Unfortunately, in the same place is an annual exercise held warships between countries. So, lets begin the battle, actually this is a battle we can (always) win.

One thing that surprised, if the alien is indeed beginning to invade the Earth’s why they do not carry as well as hundreds of jet fighters (ID4, War of the Worlds)? If they just want to see the situation and measures the strength of the enemy, why not do it secretly? What use to take the risk of playing with the enemy (the earth) when they later were to destroy all. Many more things that can not clear without an adequate explanation. How strange, alien creatures with sophisticated technology that they have no means of communication that can reach their home planet to be painstakingly using earth satellites.

Admittedly, some action sequences can be presented with a slick and suspenseful with a captivating visual effects support. Battle of the modern warship was rarely do we see in the movies, at most, only combat submarines (The Hunt for Red October, U-571, K-9). Although not entirely against his fellow combat ships at sea, but at least the enemy “yield” (strange is not it?) By positioning their aircraft as ships. The fight between the penalty strategy with enemy aircraft at night quite a bit stressful though surprisingly (again) with its technology, the enemy was unable to detect the position of the opponent. Then the deadly weapon “giant burrs” harsh, noisy, and scary sounds more like the robot transformers rather than weapons.

Battleship does not offer anything but an exciting fight action comedy plus seasoning. Lt characters. Alex Hopper reckless create the feel of the film becomes serious. Doings of his behavior did not reflect an officer in a precarious though. Unfortunately the character played by Liam Nesson serious (Admiral Shane) was not dominant in this movie. It is precisely the character of “not important”, played by super model, Brocklyn Decker (Sam) appear more dominant. Missing Battleship presents a more serious story of this movie feels a lot better. Battleship see only create an alien invasion movie “mediocre” range of ID4 to look better.
