mOntase is a non-profit Indonesian indie bulletin that has been around since the late 2006 an published once every two or three months. It consists of movie enthusiasts from several backgrounds like scholars, lecturers, practitioners, or personals with similar views and interests on films.
mOntase intends to help Indonesian cinema find its true identity. The discourse on motion pictures is a concern for mOntase to offer different point of view on every cinematic creation. Comprehensive discussions about movies are expected to build a continuous relationship between movie makers as the active agent of the film industry and the audience or critics as the passive one that would lead to the development of local cinema in particular.
